Month 6 - Supply List

Equipment

  • Knife

  • Measuring Cup

  • Measuring spoons

  • Mixing bowls, 2

  • Large glass beaker or drinking glass

  • Oven

  • Sheet pan / cookie sheet

  • Six 250 mL beakers, clear 8oz drinking glasses, or other glass containers

  • Skillet or frying pan

  • Stove

Consumables

  • Cotton Swab (Qtip)

  • Filter paper (coffee filters work well)

  • One or more bases: ammonia, baking soda, soap, detergent

  • paper towel or coffee filter

  • Paper, plain white

Food items

  • Baking Powder

  • Baking Soda

  • Boiling water 

  • Butter

  • Egg

  • Flour

  • Milk

  • One or more acids: lemon juice, apple juice, carbonated soda, wine, vinegar

  • Purple grape juice

  • Red (purple) cabbage

  • Salt

  • Sugar

  • Water

  • White Vinegar

Note:  If you have 1, 2, or 3 students completing the experiments together, most of the equipment & ingredients can be shared.  If you have more than 3 students, contact me and I’ll let you know which ingredients and/or equipment may need a higher amount.
