Month 2 - Energy and Motion

Consumables

  • Adhesive tape

  • Balloon

  • Cap from a one or two-liter plastic soda bottle

  • CD or DVD that you no longer use

  • Plastic (unbreakable plastic) or paper cup

  • Plastic plate or sturdy paper plate

  • String, 6 ft or more

  • Toilet paper holder (or rod)

  • Toilet paper, full roll

Food items

  • Bread

  • Dry pasta noodles (long)

  • Soup (4 cans – varying types and sizes)

  • Water

Other

  • Glue gun

  • Light bucket with a sturdy handle

  • Marker

  • Mousetrap (standard size)

  • Ping pong balls (will be used for multiple experiments)

  • Rope (2-3 feet long)

  • Rotating stool or chair (like an office chair)

  • Scissors

 

Note:  Most supplies can be shared if you have more than one student working as lab partners for the experiments.
