Month 4 - Supply List

Equipment

  • 5 tall clear glasses or plastic cups

  • Candy molds

  • Funnel

  • Glass jar

  • Measuring cups

  • Measuring spoons

  • Microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan

  • Oven mitts

  • Spoon or turkey baster

  • Stove

  • Wooden spoon

Consumables

  • Parchment paper

  • Cardboard squares

  • Plastic bag or storage container

  • String

  • Tall, clear glass or plastic cup

  • Wood skewers

Food items

  • Baking Soda

  • Candy flavoring

  • Citric acid (optional)

  • Colorless soda

  • Corn syrup

  • Flavored gelatin (like Jell-O)

  • Food coloring, 4 colors

  • Gelatin (plain)

  • Mentos (at least 5)

  • Raisins (as fresh as possible)

  • Sugar

  • Variety of liquids, including Diet Coke – should be in capped bottles. 2 Liter bottles work well.

  • Vinegar

  • Water

Note:  If you have 1, 2, or 3 students completing the experiments together, most of the equipment & ingredients can be shared.  If you have more than 3 students, contact me and I’ll let you know which ingredients and/or equipment may need a higher amount.
